Un compte-rendu<\/a> publi\u00e9 dans la tr\u00e8s respect\u00e9e revue internationale, Journal of Specialised Translation<\/em>, JoSTRans<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0 offre de nouveaux \u00e9loges pour Traduire les voix de la nature\/Translating the Voices of Nature<\/em><\/a>, sous la direction de Kristiina Taivalkoski-Shilov et Bruno Poncharal.<\/p>\n

\"\"Partant d'une pr\u00e9sentation tr\u00e8s utile du champ de recherche consacr\u00e9 au posthumanisme et \u00e0 l'\u00e9cocritique et proc\u00e9dant par des lectures \u00e9clair\u00e9es et \u00e9clairantes des articles r\u00e9unis par Taivalkoski-Shilov et Poncharal, Ricarda Vidal (<\/strong>King\u2019s College London) et Madeleine Camp<\/strong>bell <\/strong>(University of Edinburgh) soulignent la contribution significative qu'apporte ce volume \u00e0 une r\u00e9flexion devenue urgente en traductologie. \u00ab Many of the chapters, observent-elles, are inspiring to read, offering a fresh perspective not only on matters of translation but also on the translated texts they discuss \u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 la fin de leur article, qui constitue en lui-m\u00eame un apport pr\u00e9cieux au d\u00e9bat, Vidal et Campbell concluent :<\/p>\n

\u00ab This bilingual edited volume offers a timely posthumanist contribution to the most recent turn in Translation Studies, spearheaded by Cronin (2017, 2019) and giving voice to Rosi Braidotti\u2019s (2013, 2019) call to adjust contemporary thought in preparation for a post-Anthropocene era that is fast approaching, whether or not humanity succeeds in mitigating the looming climate disaster. In her introduction to the book, Taivalkoski-Shilov refers to Guy Midgley\u2019s warning not to spread doom about the irreversibility of climate change but to give hope and motivation to make change possible and save what is left of our planet (4). The contributors to Translating the Voices of Nature seem to have taken this to heart and the book goes some way towards generating hope for a better, less extractive engagement with nature and with the voices of others \u00bb.<\/p>\n
