Vita Traductiva volumes were on display at PETRA-E's 3rd International Conference: Creative Translation in the Age of AI, May 28 – 29, 2026. Hosted by the British Centre for Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia (Norwich, England), the conference brought together over 60 translation scholars and practitioners over two days in person and online. Vita Traductiva founding editor, Agnes Whitfield, gave a paper entitled 'Enhancing AI-Resistant Human Creativity in Literary Translation
Training: A Creativity Studies Approach.'

The 'Petra-E Network (PETRA = Plateforme Européenne pour la traduction littéraire. The ‘E’ stands for Education) brings together institutions dedicated to teaching and training literary translation under a common framework of professional competences, levels and skills which are necessary to become a literary translator. Its aim is to offer support and collaboration through the exchange of ideas, materials and events to institutions and individuals teaching literary translation or becoming literary translators.' Congratulations to Duncan Large, Professor of European Literature and Translation at the University of East Anglia and the Director of the British Centre for Literary Translation, and his excellent team, for a timely and productive conference.
